In 1977, the first SKB case was manufactured in a small Anaheim, California garage by SKB founders Steve Kottman and Dave Sanderson.

Faes Group

The European market is served by SKB Europe. This is a result of the strategic alliance between SKB Cases Corporation and Faes Group BV from Holland. Warehousing, logistics, sales and marketing are all accomplished locally in order to secure satisfied customers in Europe. The Faes Group BV is active in the market of packaging and packaging consultancy. The company was founded as a one-man business in 1987 by the current director, Johan Faes, as Faes Flightcases. The organization has changed tremendously over the years. What started out as a purely product and production oriented organization, has developed into a partner in industrially applied packaging offering a fully comprehensive package. From consultancy to production and from development to logistic fulfilment, the Faes Group is the #1 specialist in the Benelux countries. This has resulted in a reputable circle of customers that includes such names as KLM, Philips, ASML, Assembleon and the Dutch Ministry of Defence.

The Faes Group BV consists of three specialist business units. Faes Cases for fast and efficient production of durable packaging; FPC for consultancy on packaging in the field of design, engineering and process and SKB Europe for the distribution of our products through an extensive dealer network in Western Europe. The three business units all have their own specialist fields and characteristics. Together, however, they can handle any packaging problem.
